Using modern equipment, the certicate offers instruction and training in equipment operation, diesel engine repair, hydraulics and equipment systems including electrical and drive systems. Career opportunities for students exist in the agricultural, industrial, construction, material handling, and mining industries. Program student learning outcomes: 1. Students will maintain a safe working environment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). 2. Students will identify all parts and components of a diesel engine. 3. Students will troubleshoot a modern diesel engine. 4. Students will clearly communicate repairs to the customer in written form. 5. Students will identify all parts and components in a hydraulic system. 6. Students will identify different types of hydraulic systems.
