CHEM 14203 — University Chemistry II
Introductory course for science, engineering or agriculture majors. Liquids, solids, intermolecular forces, phase diagrams, solution chemistry, solubility, colligative properties, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibria, acid-base equilibria, aqueous ionic equilibria, titrations, buffers, solubility equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. Lecture 3 hours per week. Corequisite: CHEM 14201 and related course component drill section for CHEM 14203 . Prerequisite: CHEM 14103 (or CHEM 12073 , or satisfactory performance on the chemistry proficiency exam) and MATH 11003 or higher, or AP Calculus AB 3C or higher, or AP Calculus BC 4C or higher, or MATH 11003 CLEP with a score of 54 or higher, or UA Math Placement 46 or higher, or ACT MATH 22 or higher, or new SAT MATH 540/old SAT Math 540 or higher.
