Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or ultrasound technologists, operate equipment that utilizes high frequency sound waves to produce images of internal organs. The images obtained by sonographers are used in the diagnosis and monitoring of various medical conditions and disease processes. Sonographers may specialize in multiple modalities including, but not limited to, cardiac, vascular, abdomen, and obstetrics and gynecology.
