Family & Consumer Science Education (AS)
The Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCSE) program prepares students to become Family and Consumer Science (FCS) educators in both school-based and community-based settings. FCSE graduates are qualified to teach many subjects, including nutrition and foods, child and human development, apparel and textile construction, interior design, financial literacy, and more. Students in the community-based emphasis program are prepared to become non-formal FCS educators in various settings such as extension, the 4-H program, FCS-related industries, and nonprofit organizations.
