The Associate in Arts in History for Transfer (AA-T) meets the lower division course requirements necessary for the California State University (CSU) system. History is studied in order to fully understand the complexities of this modern globalized world. In the 21st century, history is moving rapidly as an integrative, multidisciplinary science. To truly know a person, it is necessary to know his or her story. This is also true about nations. History goes far beyond the simple memorization of dates and events.
