HIST 010A — Development of Western Culture 3 Units
Students study the political, cultural, and philosophical development of Western culture and society through the study of the institutions, thought and the literary and artistic expression of the ancient world and medieval society of Europe to the Reformation. Emphasis is placed on understanding the facets of modern civilization by tracing the social, cultural, and political thought of the past. Students are also introduced to the ideas/accomplishments of significant men and women in each period. (C-ID HIST 170)
