Students will learn how organizations use platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook to build brand awareness, engage audiences, drive traffic, and generate sales. Social media ethics, legal issues and best practices will be covered as well. Students will analyze contemporary social media cases and strategies and develop a comprehensive social media marketing plan. Other topics include how to target market and understanding the social media landscape and trends.
