ELEC120 — DC and AC Motors and Generators

Topics covered include motor construction, basic principles, speed-voltage characteristics and regulation of the generator. Also covered are the principles, speed-torque characteristics, type of field excitation, and starting procedures of motors. Single phase and poly-phase generators, motors and switching equipment are covered. Motor theory wiring, troubleshooting, and safety will be emphasized.
