WELD 1501 — - Introduction to Welding
Prerequisite: none Corequisite: none In this course, students learn about basic oxy/fuel cutting and welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SAMW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes and the safety concerns connected with them. To demonstrate their knowledge, students will practice appropriate welding techniques as applied to various materials and joint types in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
