Prerequisite: Placement determined by a college ready assessment score in reading Corequisite: none This course is an overview of the American federal government. Students will learn political theory and ideology, the history and foundation of the federal government, campaigns and party politics, constitutional issues, domestic and foreign policy, and the structure, functions, branches, and operations of the federal government (including Congress, the presidency, the judiciary, and other federal agencies).
