Prerequisite: NURS 2922 Professional Nursing Practicum I, NURS 2923 Role Transition: LPN to Professional Nurse, NURS 2925 Medical Surgical Professional Nursing I, NURS 2926 Psychosocial Nursing for the Professional Nurse, NURS 2928 Professional Nursing Lab I Corequisite: none This course focuses on further developing advanced nursing processes and clinical reasoning. Students will learn complex nursing skills, comprehensive assessments, and how to integrate nursing care of multiple patients across the lifespan. Topic areas include interpretation of the Minnesota Board of Nursing’s Professional Nursing Scope of Practice, leadership, interdisciplinary teamwork, and comprehensive patient care management.
