Prerequisite: NURS 2922 Professional Nursing Practicum I, NURS 2923 Role Transition: LPN to Professional Nurse, NURS 2925 Medical Surgical Professional Nursing I, NURS 2926 Psychosocial Nursing for the Professional Nurse, and NURS 2928 Professional Nursing Lab I Corequisite: none This course expands on critical thinking associated with the role of the Professional Nurse in the care of clients experiencing complex, multi- system, and acute conditions. Students will learn to apply evidence-based Course Listings & Descriptions practices for the treatment and recovery of diverse patients across the lifespan. Integrated within the course is the application of advanced disease processes associated with body-system conditions. The use of pharmaceuticals and alternative treatment modalities are included as they apply to emergency care, oncology, post-operative management, and end- of-life care.
