MTTP 1201 — - Basic Machine Shop
Prerequisite: Placement determined by minimum entry assessment scores in reading and math Corequisite: none This course presents the basic principles of milling machine and engine lathe operation. Students will learn about machine theory, safety and component identification, set up, tool selection, and use of attachments. Precision layout and basic inspection are also introduced. Students will manufacture machine tool projects to blueprint specifications, using the vertical mill and engine lathe. Transfer Curriculum Goal(s): none
