Prerequisite: Placement is determined by minimum entry assessment scores in reading Corequisite: none This course examines how to work with diverse groups of families. It investigates the importance of the family/school partnership, methods of effectively communicating with families, and identifies community organizations and networks that support families. Students will learn various classroom strategies which will emphasize culturally and linguistically appropriate anti-bias approaches that support all children in becoming competent members of a diverse society.
