Prerequisite: Placement determined by college ready assessment score in reading Corequisite: none This course is an introduction to the essential concepts, styles, and forms of Western and non-Western visual arts, and the variety of manners in which art is understood. The students will learn the appreciation of art through studying the principles, techniques and materials of design, the popular and historical development of art, art criticism and aesthetic awareness.
