Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) at Lake-Sumter State College prepares students to become certified Elementary Education K-6 teachers and provides the local school district with a pool of qualified teachers to fill the county’s vacancies. Students graduating from this program will be eligible to obtain a teaching certificate in Elementary Education K-6, as well as an ESOL and Reading Endorsement. Through impactful, school-based experiences embedded throughout related coursework, LSSC prepares teacher candidates for the realistic demands of today’s classrooms while meeting the needs of school districts throughout Central Florida.
