WR 115W — Writing for Work
This course introduces students to the expectations of workplace communication, including: reading, writing, research, collaboration, and project management. Students will be introduced to concepts of audience, purpose, and genre, and will engage in collaborative writing processes to produce projects. Projects may include job letters, instructions, technical reports, and/or other documents relevant to students' field of study. This course fulfills writing requirements for some Lane programs. Note: This three-credit writing course will count as a prerequisite for 121Z at Lane Community College only. Students who plan to transfer should be aware that other colleges and universities in Oregon may not accept 115W as a prerequisite for 121Z.
