This course covers horse farm management practices. Emphasis is placed on facility planning, record keeping, safety, labor, maintenance, preventative medicine management, equipment operation and care, work ethic, problem solving, supervision and teamwork skills. Upon completion, students should be able to design a facility on paper and assist in the management of an equine facility and herd, including supervision.
