This course is designed to provide job skills training for students seeking employment in dental laboratories. Based on current acceptable laboratory techniques and their application, emphasis will be placed on basic skills and knowledge required of a dental technologist. The areas of concentration will be dental materials, complete dentures, partial dentures, crown and bridge, and ceramics. Upon completion, students will become familiar with the instruments and procedures used in fabricating various types of dentures.
