This course provides instruction on select topics related to managing a small business. Emphasis will focus on management functions including planning, leading, organizing, staffing, and controlling operations. Upon completion, students will be able to identify the aspects of operating a small business; describe human resource functions including employee development; explain the elements of total quality management; and compare purchasing procedures, inventory control, and computerized operations between/among small businesses.
