This course introduces students to the study of engine electrical systems and instruments used on turbine powered and reciprocating engine powered aircraft. Emphasis on mechanical power generating and engine starting systems, including hands-on experience with removal, installation, disassembly, troubleshooting, and adjustment of generating, starting, regulating, and monitoring devices. Upon completion of this course the student will be able to: evaluate a complete aircraft electrical system using provided schematics and determine corrective actions that will satisfy the FAA standards for aircraft electrical system certification.
