HD 231 — CHILD MALTREATMENT: IDENTIFICATION AND TREATMENT

This course provides an overview of child maltreatment, including various types of abuse and neglect. The course examines the warning signs and consequences of maltreatment, as well as strategies for its prevention. Students receive instruction in the mandated requirements for and steps involved in reporting suspected cases of child maltreatment and available options for permanency planning, including foster care, kinship care and adoption.
