AESL 574 — ENGLISH FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT
This AESL course prepares intermediate language learners for a career in child development, credit courses in Human Development, or to support their child(ren) in child development programs. Emphasis will be on developing vocabulary and oral communication skills needed to interact with young children, educators, and parents. In addition, students will build cultural awareness of American early childhood education principles. Class activities include reading, listening, and talking about American early childhood education as well as participating in role plays. This is a non-credit open-entry/open-exit course.
