PHED2356 — Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries
(3-0) Prevention and care of athletic injuries with emphasis on qualities of a good athletic trainer, avoiding accidents and injuries, recognizing signs and symptoms of specific sports injuries and conditions, immediate and long -term care of injuries, and administra tion procedures in athletic training. PHYSICS (Core option—Life & Physical Sciences component) Fundamental principles of physics, using algebra and trigonometry; the principles and applications of classical mechanics and thermodynamics, including harmonic motion, mechanical waves and sound, physical systems, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and gravitation and other fundamental forces; with emphasis on problem solving.
