This course provides the introduction of clinical experience for the diagnostic procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization lab and non-invasive echocardiography lab based on didactic class topics. The invasive clinical experience, under the close supervision of a clinical instructor, allows students to gain experience for pre- and post-cardiac catheterization activities, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac pressure waveform recognition calculations, circulation, scrubbing and recording. The non-invasive clinical experience, under the close supervision of a clinical instructor, allows students to gain experience in electrocardiography, stress testing and echocardiography. The clinical practice includes 60 clinical hours in Invasive cardiology and 60 clinical hours in Non-Invasive cardiology.
