ENGL 2520 - British Literature since 1780s: Empire and Beyond ENGL 2520 - British Literature since 1780s: Empire and Beyond Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This survey course introduces students to a broad range of British literature print and film involving works from the Early Romantic Period up to the present day. The works studied will include novels, short stories, poetry, and drama. By reading and analyzing these works, students will learn about various themes, conventions, literary movements, and historical events during this time period and will also strengthen their critical thinking skills. Writers studied will include Wordsworth, Dickens, Blake, Shelley, Austen, Yeats, and Heaney.
