NSG 242 - Application of Nursing Theory III NSG 242 - Application of Nursing Theory III Description: An intermediate clinical course with application of theoretical concepts of wellness and illness; emphasis on nursing skills and application of nursing process in meeting the needs of diverse clients. Clinical practicum occurs in well-defined settings and integrates the competencies of nursing practice to include; patient centered care, professionalism, communication, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality, informatics and evidence-based practice. Clinical group pre- and post-conference discussions occur with application of theoretical concepts. (Patient-centered Care) Relate effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient
