This course contains the Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training curriculum required for peace officer certification. (1,3,5,6,7,9,10) Demonstrate the safe and proper use of police procedures. (1,6,7,9,10,12,15) Describe methods and practices of modern crime prevention. Identify social and psychological factors important in human interactions. (4,5) Explain ethical and culturally responsive policing or police interactions. Describe the structure of the American court system. (7,8) Explain the role of law enforcement in handling crisis cases. Describe the connection between police and constitutional law.
