3 credits Lecture: 3 per week Teaches concepts of stress, strain, deformation, internal equilibrium, and basic properties of engineering materials. Analyses axial loads, torsion, bending, shear and combines loading. Studies stress transformation and principle stresses, column analysis and energy principles.
