Topics to be covered include structure, properties, nomenclature, reactions, reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry and spectroscopy of conjugated systems, aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, enols, enolates and their applications to biology.
