MASG 150 - Myokinesiology I MASG 150 - Myokinesiology I Students will be able to: 1) observe the surface anatomy of the body and confidently explore the skin and facial structures of the body; 2) palpate the bones and bony landmarks of each body region and explore the connections between them and the soft tissues; 3) palpate each muscle from origin to insertion, feeling and describing its overall shape, edges, and fiber direction(s); 4) palpate the major joint structures, including ligaments and bursae, that are common sites of pain and injury in the region; and 5) palpate landmarks within each body region that identify the location of various endangerment sites. Myokinesiology I will cover the shoulder & arm, forearm & hand, and spine & thorax regions. Credit Min Units 3 Credit Max Units 3 Req Group Description Student must be admitted to the Massage Therapy program.
