Consult faculty advisor. Course Descriptions Course Numbers Course designations consist of a three-letter prefix, a number and the course title. The three-letter prefix indicates the academic or technical discipline. The number designation, however, does not necessarily designate the level of the course. Course Hours and Credits Following the prefix number and the course title are the numbers of lecture, laboratory and credit hours. The number of lecture hours per class and/or the number of laboratory hours per class each week combine to make up the total contact hours required for the class each week. Contact hours are the total of the lecture and lab hours. Prerequisites If any prerequisites are required before enrolling in a course, such prerequisites will be identified following the course description. Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in the prerequisite course.
