(3-0-18). A work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer. December 1, 2025 Early Childhood Education The Early Childhood Education program is designed to prepare students to care for and educate young children from birth through age 8 and to provide training for caregivers or administrators in early childhood programs. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program requires students to complete 60 semester credit hours of coursework with 42 in the major area of study and 18 in general education coursework. The curriculum includes two practicum courses, the second of which would be used to satisfy the capstone requirement. The program offers two certificates for part-time students.
