Prerequisites: ENRG 160 or BPI Building Science Principles certification (or other national equivalent), ENRG 161 or BPI BA-T certification (or other national equivalent) and ENRG 162 or BPI BA-P certification (or other national equivalent). Students can take this concurrently with the prerequisites with instructor approval. This course prepares students to become a quality control inspector with the skills to ensure the completion, appropriateness and quality of residential home energy upgrade work through use of methodological inspection of the building including performing safety and diagnostic tests and observing work performed. The course also prepares students for success on the BPI Home Energy Auditor Quality Control Inspection Certification examination.
