PTA168 — Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation

5 credits This course provides the physical therapist assistant student with an introduction to assessment, measurement, documentation skills, data collection, therapeutic exercise, patient interaction, pain perception, and confidentiality. Emphasis is placed on using evidence-based practice for the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions, including post-operative management to deliver patient-centered care. Students participate in implementing a plan of care, including discharge planning and home exercise programs.
