MAT117 — Math for Elementary Teachers
3 credits This course examines underlying concepts and connections in elementary school mathematics. Topics include the number systems, mental computation and estimation, sets, geometry, measurement, algebra, probability, statistics, calculator usage, mathematical reasoning process, problem solving techniques, and historical notes. Additional supplemental instruction for students will be available through the Comet Learning Center using ALEKS as an instructional tool. Semester Typically Multiple
