ST 102 — INTRODUCTION TO SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY CREDITS:
This course is an introduction to concepts and practices of surgical technology. It encompasses the role of the surgical technologist, a basic history of surgery, the surgical patient, medical-legal issues, safety, infection control, disinfection and sterilization, and concepts of wound closure and wound healing. CO-REQUISITE: ST111. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF C IS REQUIRED TO PASS THIS COURSE AND MEET PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS.
