NURS 260 — MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING ACROSS THE LIFESPAN CREDITS:
Medical Surgical Nursing Across the Lifespan focuses on nursing care of the young adult through geriatric clients in the acute care setting. Emphasis is on the use of clinical judgement, placing attention on a holistic understanding of the cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the individual and family. Application of the nursing process, evidence- based practice, quality improvement initiatives and the art of caring behaviors are integrated throughout the course. There is a clinical component to this course. PREREQUISITES: A MINIMUM OF A C OR HIGHER IN ALL REQUIRED PREREQUISITE COURSES. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF C IS REQUIRED TO PASS THIS COURSE AND MEET PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS.
