EMS 244 — PARAMEDIC III CREDITS:
This course consists of therapeutic communications, documentation, medical terminology, medication administration, airway management, ventilation, anatomy and physiology, geriatrics, patients with special challenges, acute interventions in chronic care, abuse, neurology, toxicology, hematology, cardiology, 12- lead EKG, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS). PREREQUISITES : Current CPR Card, current EMT Certification, HC 114, and HC 213. CO-REQUISITES: EMS 235 and EMS 240. GRADE REQUIREMENT: A MINIMUM GRADE OF C IS REQUIRED TO PASS THIS COURSE AND MEET PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS.
