CJUS 202 — EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROFESSIONALS CREDITS:
This course requires students to apply written and oral communication skills to a variety of criminal justice system scenarios. Scenarios include interviewing and interrogation, contact with the public, social media, and interdepartmental communications. The course covers communication technology and strategies for communicating with diverse groups with emphasis placed on the importance of ethical and professional communications. This course includes topics and applicable terminal learning objectives from the South Dakota Basic Law Enforcement Certification Course.
