Course Description In this course, students explore pathophysiological conditions present in selected disease processes in order to implement evidence-based nursing assessment and intervention strategies. Course Objectives 1. Apply general principles of cellular biology, cellular proliferations, and mechanisms of self-defense in the development of evidence-based nursing assessment and intervention strategies. 2. Apply pathophysiological principles governing the following body systems in the development of evidence-based nursing assessment and intervention strategies. a. Neurological System b. Endocrine System c. Hematologic System d. Cardiovascular and Lymphatic System e. Pulmonary System f. Renal and Urological System g. Reproductive Systems h. Digestive Systems i.
