MEDA 140 - Medical Law and Ethics MEDA 140 - Medical Law and Ethics LEC hours per week: 2 This course is an introduction to the legal and ethical considerations for medical assistants working in healthcare settings. This course exposes the student to legal and ethical considerations of the MA role, including standard of care, criminal and civil acts, negligence, confidentiality, and scope of practice for medical assistants.
