VET220 — *Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery
VET 220 - *Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery VET 220 - *Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgery This course will prepare the student for proper operation of a surgical suite and management of anesthetized animals. Students will calculate anesthetic dosages, learn the proper function and maintenance of gas anesthesia machines, monitor anesthetized animals and practice skills such as intubation and mechanical ventilation. Asepsis, autoclaving, surgical instrument care and cleaning will also be included. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
