BIOL 1060 - ^Environmental Science BIOL 1060 - ^Environmental Science This course is a survey of the major environmental issues and concerns facing our planet. From a background study of natural ecosystems and human populations, the course will survey the environment, social, and economic consequences of energy generation, resource consumption, over-population, and pollution, with the goal of establishing what actually constitutes sustainability and wise environmental stewardship. Local field trips, online laboratory exercises, on campus laboratory exercises, simulations, and debates will be a major part of the course. (This course was previously BIOL 1040.)
