UMS 177 - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Components and Maintenance UMS 177 - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Components and Maintenance (3 credits) Provides an introduction to the basic equipment and techniques used in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading sUAS to assure airworthiness and proper operation of the other components. Emphasizes safe practices in repair and handling of components and develops fundamental skills in troubleshooting/repair of the circuits, subsystems and components typically found in the complete sUAS. Covers payload sensor mounting, power management and security threat management. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. Lecture: 2 hours Lab: 2 hours Total: 4 hours per week
