EGR 270 - Fundamentals of Computer Engineering EGR 270 - Fundamentals of Computer Engineering (4 credits) Covers digital system analysis, design, and implementation. Includes digital logic, Boolean algebra, combinational and sequential circuits, hierarchical design, and introduction to computer organization and assembly language. Features in laboratory work the use of discrete logic, programmable logic devices, and hardware description language to design, simulate, implement, validate, and document digital circuits. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. Prerequisite(s): EGR 121 and EGR 125 or CSC 221 Lecture: 3 hours Lab: 3 hours Total: Total 6 hours per week
