CAD 238 - Computer Aided Modeling and Rendering I CAD 238 - Computer Aided Modeling and Rendering I (3 Credits) Focuses on training students in the contemporary techniques of 3D modeling, rendering, and animation on the personal computer. Introduces the principles of visualization, sometimes known as photo-realism, which enables the student to create presentation drawings for both architectural and industrial product design. Uses computer animation to produce walk-throughs that will bring the third dimension to architectural designs. Part I of II. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 238 and DRF 238.) An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only. Lecture: 2 hours Lab: 2 hours Total: 4 hours per week
