Accounting
The Accounting program at Ventura College prepares students for entry-level careers in public and private sectors, transfer to a four-year institution, or the path toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant. The program offers a Business Administration for Transfer 2.0 degree for CSU/UC transfer, along with A.S. degrees and certificates in Accounting and Accounting Technician (formerly Bookkeeping). The A.S. degree readies students for entry-level positions or baccalaureate transfer, while the Accounting Technician certificate builds the skills needed for roles such as bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or auditing clerk.
