NUR 2933C — ATN CONCEPTS OF ADULT HEALTH I

Degree Program, minimum grades of C in NUR 1100C , NUR 2931C and NUR 2440C Corequisite: NUR 2932C This course reinforces the three domains of the health care recipient, health and illness, and professional nursing and healthcare. Emphasis is placed on hemostasis and regulation and protection. The course will include the concepts of fluid and electrolytes, gas exchange, perfusion, hormonal regulation, glucose regulation, and elimination. Interrelated concepts of: communication, culture, elimination, ethics, gas exchange, health promotion adherence, infection/immunity, interpersonal violence, mobility, perfusion, professional identity, safety, stress and coping, technology and informatics, and tissue integrity. Upon completion, students will provide safe nursing care incorporating the concepts identified in this course. A grade of satisfactory in the clinical/labs required. This course must be completed with a grade of C or better for program progression. (Special Fee: $151.00).
