NUR 2221C — HEALTH AND ILLNESS CONCEPTS IN ADULT HEALTH I
Degree Program, minimum grades of C in NUR 1020C and NUR 1061C . Corequisite: NUR 1141C and NUR 2522C This course focuses on the concepts within the domain of health and illness, emphasizing the themes of homeostasis & regulation and protection & movement. The course will include the concepts of inflammation, gas exchange, infection, fluid and electrolytes, perfusion, clotting, hormonal regulation, glucose regulation, and elimination. Upon completion, students will provide safe nursing care incorporating the concepts identified in this course. A grade of satisfactory in the clinical/lab is required. This course must be completed with a grade of C or better for program progression. (Special Fee: $68.00).
